Beyond Thinking

Frustration.

They want to see the truth and wonder why

since I have seen the truth

I can’t just tell them what it is.

I try to explain that the truth

transcends the thinking mind and can’t be

communicated in words.

To know it, you must find your way to a place

where you have abandoned

what you think you know

and are open to a new reality.

Then tell me where this place is to be found

so I might search for it, they implore.

Alas this is not possible I tell them.

This place you seek is not of the world

but is everywhere and anywhere in the world.

Like all experience, it exists within you but is

hidden behind layers of calcified notions of

what is true and real in this world.

The experience of what is true

will arise in you when a change in perspective

allows you to see these notions as

what has always kept you from seeing

what has always been right in front of you.

How then do I change my perspective they ask?

I tell them ..

Live your life from the place of the witness.

Don’t presume to understand how this world works.

Renounce blame and judgement as impediments.

Spend time with new ideas and concepts and

maps to places that transcend the ordinary.

Entertain the possibility that you,

as a distinct and separate entity from

everything not you,

may be an illusion.
